Let customers speak for us
from 109 reviewsI thought my triathlon days were over when I had to have a knee replacement. After six months I decided to try the Lever on my treadmill and started running again. It’s been six months using the device and I’m training for a 1/2 IM. The Lever was a game changer and I would recommend. I can run faster and keep my cadence high which is great for enhancing training.
Amazing product. After having lower back surgery 5 months ago and jumping back into running too soon, resulting in a setback, the Lever is allowing me to reintroduce running in a controlled and safe way. No doubt this will help get me back to Ironman racing next year. Thanks!
I rolled my ankle during a run recently and was in a boot and on crutches for 4 days. This was in the middle of my prep for Ironman AZ. I thought my race was a no go. However, the Lever allowed me to run and gradually I was able to add more time and weight as my ankle healed. It has been a game changer for me. I had some doubts as to how it would work and how comfortable it would be to run with it, but it worked great. Thanks Lever! Going forward I am going to use it as part of my training as well. Well worth the investment.
My marathon training season has not been going to plan having had multiple weeks off running due to Achilles pain. I finally gave Lever a go and immediately things started to improve. Now I have it, I can see a multitude of uses including running after a heavy lifting days, low heart rate training runs and obviously injury rehab. I’m excited to keep it in my toolbox of training tools.
With 12 total leg surgeries, 8 of which have been just to save my leg, it is difficult to stay consistent in order to compete. Lever has been a game changer for me both physically and mentally. Having Lever in my arsenal is such a blessing. When the surgeons are impressed and state "keep doing whatever you're doing" ...you better believe Lever Movement has been an integral part of that equation. Thank you!!
Recovering from a piriformis injury and trying to not drop out of the Berlin Marathon. It’s so hard to get in to a World Marathon Major through the lottery, so when I had an injury I knew I needed some help. When I saw Lever I was so excited and it was absolutely perfect after resting my injury for a month. It helped me run pain free earlier in recovery so I could continue to train. This has been a game changer and kept me on track. So happy with my choice to give it a try. It saved my training cycle!
Purchased Lever package on rental due to an upcoming total hip replacement to use during the rehabilitation process. It did take the edge off the pain pre-operatively but required a lot of support.
Began using it after 2 weeks post-op with simple supported walking. This replaced the need for using crutches and allowed for a better arm carriage while reducing the impact forces and also maintaining a good stride length and pattern.
I put together a rehabilitation progression plan tied in with the other standard exercises.
By week 12 was up to 1.5 hours with 3x20/25 minutes of easy jogging and did the first outside run of 2k.
By week 16 went under 20 minutes for 5k outside.
I absolutely detest using a treadmill but the Lever certainly helped to maintain and build through progressions a lot quicker than I'd have been comfortable doing otherwise.
This helped get to the start line and finish a full distance Ironman (5.5 months) and two half distance ones, and I'll probably be using it over the next 2 months in preparation for the NY marathon. Surgery was 9 months ago.
I know the above isn't much by way of a review so here's some things I like.
The system is easy to set up each time you use it. Shorts are very comfy and have been robust, though the 'Lever' printing has started to peel. The velcro to tighten around the legs so far has withstood a nice bit of use.
The ability to narrow the fixation points of the pulley system mean that you can maintain whatever normal arm swing you have. This for me is a big difference to using an AltG treadmill. The AltG forces you to hold the arms much higher than normal. In the first 3 months of rehab I used the Lever approximately 50 times, yet the alternative (which I had direct access whenever I'd want) didn't use once.
The one negative I'd say is the monthly cost of postage, shipping, customs and everything wasn't as clear as I'd like so shipping to Europe has continued to cost 15 dollars each month on top of the 99$ per month.
I had surgery several months ago and have had a lot of issues trying to get back to running. The Lever Movement system, paired with my Assault AirRunner, has been the magic bullet to build my volume back up. I plan on keeping the system even after my ACL recovery as I see the benefits or taking load off every now and then.
Was able to train with an Achilles injury and even do speedwork. Reducing your weight with the cord system is a game changer for loading the lower body. Super easy to set up and comfortable to run on. More comfortable than an anti-gravity treadmill whose shorts give you a wedgey. No wedgey with these shorts! My plan was to rent until by race, but I've decided to buy it.
The Lever has made a huge difference in how I'm able to train. It's allowed me to squeeze in extra low impact runs and add extra speed on interval days. It even got me through with no pain during a week long knee issue.
I have osteoarthritis in my knees, & using the Lever system takes a lot of the weight off, making it manageable to return to run. I highly recommend.
Coming back from injury is like walking a knife edge between wanting to get back lost fitness quickly and being patient. The Lever has helped me reintroduce speed work safely and earlier than expected. The set up is sturdy and professional, I feel completely safe even at high speed. Just wish I’d discovered this earlier!
Avid Spartan Racer and trail runner here who after years of beating up my body, had to get the right hip resurfaced. Getting back to running seemed a far journey for someone my size (6'5", 225lbs). I don't have that svelte runners body/style. Imagine a wookie running in the mountains. That's me. Challenge is - the post-surgery muscles weren't building fast enough to support the forces my carriage carries. So I couldn't really run.
I had heard of the zero gravity treadmills but couldn't find any near me and acquiring one was well out of my price range. I came across LEVER on social media and thought - well here's something worth a shot. Cleared with my PT and Ortho, and rented it. Figured, one or two months was no harm. Received, strapped to my Peloton Tread (yep, it fits great), strapped the shorts on, looped myself into the lever system and off I went. Talk about amazing. It was able to remove just enough weight where I could start running. A few weeks doing that, led to work on strides, pacing, gait. Really getting to open up and go for it, without beating myself up. It's been 6 months of that so far, and have been able to get back to my Spartan races, to trail running, coaching soccer, and enjoying my Peloton Tread classes with my LEVER. Still use it, just with less weight offloading. LOVE THIS THING!!
I recently purchased the LEVER and I love it! I am someone who has had two stress fractures and finally feel safe increasing my mileage with this. I plan on paying this off and keeping it for as long as I run. With this tool, I don’t fear gradually increasing my mileage!
